How much does a wrap cost by coverage and vehicle size?

Every coverage level on one line each, so you can compare what you get, how long we keep the car, and what it averages.

Coverage What it includes Turnaround Average price
Accents and partial Roof, hood, mirrors, spoiler, racing stripes and chrome delete 1–2 days From $200
Full color change, coupe or sedan Every painted exterior panel in a standard gloss or satin finish 3–5 days $4,500
Full color change, SUV or truck Every painted exterior panel in a standard gloss or satin finish 3–5 days $5,300
Full color change, van or large vehicle Every painted exterior panel in a standard gloss or satin finish 3–5 days $6,000
Wrap removal Existing wrap removed without damaging the factory paint underneath Depends on the film and its age $150 per hour

Size is the single biggest price factor: more painted surface means more film and more hours on the car, which is why a van prices above a coupe doing the same job. The figures above are shop averages for a full color change in a standard gloss or satin finish, and two more choices move them. Specialty finishes such as color-shift, chrome and textured films price above these numbers, both in material cost and in the extra installation care they demand. Door jambs can be added to any full wrap for a seamless look with the doors open. Removal is billed at $150 per hour rather than by vehicle size, because the time depends on the film, its age and how it was installed. Want protection with the new color? Color PPF delivers both in a single film, and our PPF price guide covers what that costs.

What else do people ask about wrap pricing?

How much does it cost to wrap a car in the Seattle area?

At SeaWraps a full color change averages $4,500 on a sedan or coupe, $5,300 on an SUV or truck, and $6,000 on a van or large vehicle. Accent wraps start at just $200: mirrors, light tint, hoods and roofs each carry their own flat price on our accent menu. Every quote is free and specific to your vehicle.

Why do wrap prices vary so much between shops?

Film quality and installer skill. Cast vinyl from brands like Avery Dennison, KPMF, Inozetek, 3M and HEXIS costs more than calendered bargain film, and it is the difference between a wrap that lasts five to seven years and one that shrinks, lifts and fades in two. Cheap wraps also tend to skip disassembly, wrapping around parts instead of under them, which shows.

Does the finish change the price?

Yes. Standard gloss and satin colors sit at the base price. Specialty finishes such as color-shift, chrome and textured films cost more, both in material and in the extra installation care they demand. If you are choosing between finishes, we can price both options in one quote.

How much does it cost to wrap a truck or SUV?

Trucks and SUVs average $5,300 for a full color change at SeaWraps, against $4,500 for a sedan or coupe. The difference is surface area: a full-size truck carries far more paintwork, and panels like tall bumpers and bedsides take more film and more hours. Vans and the largest vehicles average $6,000.

How long does it take to wrap a car?

A full color change takes 3 to 5 business days at our Kent shop, depending on the vehicle and the finish. Accent packages like hoods, roofs and mirrors are usually done in 1 to 2 days. We would rather keep your car an extra day than rush edges and seams you will look at for years.

Is a wrap cheaper than a respray?

A comparable-quality paint job typically costs more than a premium wrap, takes longer, and is permanent. A wrap gives you the color now, protects the factory paint underneath, and peels off cleanly when you want the original color back or it is time to sell.

How does a vinyl wrap compare to Color PPF?

Color PPF costs more because the material is protection film, not decorative vinyl: you get color change and rock-chip protection in a single layer, with self-healing against swirls. A vinyl wrap is the budget-friendlier restyle. We install both, so the quote can show you the gap side by side.

How long does a wrap last, and what about removal?

Premium cast wraps last five to seven years in Pacific Northwest conditions with sensible care: hand washing and skipping brush car washes. Professionally removed, the wrap comes off without damaging factory paint, which is usually in better shape than the unwrapped panels around it. Removal is billed at $150 per hour, because the time it takes depends on the film, its age and how it was installed rather than on the size of the car.
