Tint law in Washington comes down to a few rules. Side and rear windows on passenger cars must let at least 24% of visible light through; SUVs, vans and trucks may go darker behind the driver. Windshields allow a visor band across the top and clear ceramic films, but no dark tint. Reflective and mirrored films are restricted, and red, gold, yellow and black-out shades are prohibited. Will the tint bubble, peel or turn purple?

How long before I can roll my windows down?
Leave the windows up for 3 to 5 days after installation while the film fully cures to the glass. Light haze or tiny moisture pockets during the first days are normal and disappear as the film dries.
