Information We Collect

When you contact us, request a quote, or book work, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, details about your vehicle and whatever you tell us about the job. Our quote form is operated for us by FilmIQ and is displayed on this site inside a frame served from app.filmiqapp.com, so information you enter there is submitted to FilmIQ and then to us.

Like most websites, we also collect some information automatically when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the page or search that sent you here. This happens through cookies and similar technologies described in the next section.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this site, and a Google Ads tag that measures whether an ad led to an inquiry. Both set cookies in your browser and both send information about your visit to Google. We use this to see which pages and which services people actually look for, not to build a profile of you as an individual.

One thing worth stating plainly, because it is not obvious: when you submit a quote request, we pass the Google Analytics identifier for your browser to our booking system. If that request later becomes a booked job, that identifier lets us record which marketing channel the booking came from. The practical effect is that a booking record in our system can be connected to the analytics record of the visit that started it.

You can limit all of this. Google publishes a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, you can review and turn off ad personalization in Google My Ad Center, and every major browser lets you block or clear cookies. Blocking them will not stop you from using this site or from requesting a quote.

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business, and only so they can do that work:

  • FilmIQ operates our quote form, customer records and booking system.
  • Google provides the analytics and advertising described above. Google Fonts, Google Maps and the Google-hosted photos attached to our Google reviews also load on some pages, which means Google receives your IP address when those load.
  • Our web host and a public code library service (jsDelivr, which serves an animation library) receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering the page.
  • We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or our property.

We link to our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube profiles. Those are ordinary links: no tracking pixel from those companies runs on this site, and clicking one takes you to their platform under their own privacy policy.

How Long We Keep It

We keep customer and job records for as long as we need them to service your vehicle, honor warranty and workmanship questions, and meet our business and tax record-keeping obligations. Analytics information is kept according to the retention setting on our Google Analytics property. If you want your information removed, ask us and we will tell you what we can delete and what we have to keep.

Your Choices

  • Ask what we have. Contact us and we will tell you what information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to delete it. We will delete what we are not required to keep.
  • Correct it. Tell us if anything we have is wrong.
  • Stop the texts. Reply STOP to any message from us, at any time.
  • Limit the tracking. Use the opt-outs and browser controls described above.

Use the phone number or email address at the bottom of this page for any of these. We do not charge for it and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This site is for our customers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the bottom. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.

Text Messaging (SMS)

When you opt in to text messages from SeaWraps, either by checking the SMS consent box on our Request a Quote form or by texting us, we collect your mobile number solely to send transactional service messages (appointment confirmations, scheduling changes, pickup-ready notices, job updates, estimate and invoice links, verification codes, and replies to your questions). No mobile information or SMS opt-in/consent data is shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. This SMS consent is not a condition of any purchase or service.
