How much does window tint cost, and which film do we install?

Window tint at SeaWraps starts at $100 for a visor strip, $200 for the front two windows, $280 for a full windshield, and $550 for a full vehicle surround. Every price is the same STEK LunaRay SMART nano ceramic film: 99% UV rejection, up to 98% infrared heat rejection.

At SeaWraps, we install STEK LunaRay ceramic window tint, which was the industry's first graphene-infused ceramic window film when it launched in 2019. LunaRay uses proprietary graphene cooling technology combined with a ten-layer multi-sputter construction, which is double the industry standard of five layers. This engineering delivers unmatched heat rejection while maintaining crystal-clear visibility.

LunaRay blocks 99% of UV radiation and rejects up to 98% of infrared heat. Unlike metallic tint films, it uses nano-ceramic particles that will not interfere with GPS, cell signals, Bluetooth, or ADAS systems in modern vehicles. The film is color-stable and will not fade or turn purple over time, a common problem with lower-quality tint products. Eastside drivers can see how the same film performs on our page for ceramic window tint in Bellevue, and Seattle drivers can build a package by coverage on our page for window tint in Seattle. Coming north from Pierce County, the same detail is laid out on our page for window tint in Tacoma.

What tint is legal in Washington state?

Washington state has specific regulations for window tint darkness. The front side windows must allow more than 24% visible light transmission (VLT), while the rear side windows and back glass have no VLT restrictions. We stay current on all Washington state tint laws and will help you choose levels that look great while keeping you compliant.

For most Kent and Renton area drivers, we recommend 35% VLT on the front sides for a clean, uniform look that meets legal requirements, paired with 15% or 5% on the rear windows for maximum privacy and heat rejection. STEK LunaRay is available in a full range of VLT options, and we have samples at our Kent shop so you can see the difference in person before committing.

Pricing follows coverage rather than shade. At our Kent shop a visor strip is $100, a front two window match starts at $200, a full windshield is $280, and a full vehicle surround starts at $550, all in the same STEK LunaRay SMART nano ceramic film. Door count and glass size can move the number slightly, so read the full window tint cost guide before you compare quotes.

How is window tint installed?

Our tint installations start with a thorough glass cleaning and decontamination. We precision-cut every piece of film using computerized templates specific to your vehicle, eliminating the need for cutting on the glass and reducing the risk of scratches.

The film is heat-shrunk to match the curvature of each window for a smooth, bubble-free finish. We pay close attention to edges and corners, ensuring clean lines with no peeling or gaps. Most vehicles are completed in a single day, and we provide aftercare instructions so your tint cures properly. If you want the lamps to match the glass, headlight tint and taillight tint run $200 per set in the same visit.
